Fujimori no Taasobi

It is said that this festival originated when farmers offered prayers for flood control of Oigawa River about 1,000 years ago in the Kanwa Era. Every year on March 17, twenty-five dances depicting the various stages of rice planting to harvest are dedicated to the Oi Hachimangu Shrine of Fujimori. In 1977, this dance was designated as an important ethnic cultural asset by the national government.
