Shimada Shuku Oigawa Kawagoshi Iseki (historicalruins)

In the Edo Period, boats and bridges were prohibited in the crossing of the Oigawa River under the feudal government and people had to rely on river-crossing transporters to get across. There are historical ruins of the buildings that managed this system and of the lodgings of Shimada Station.
