The Shizuoka Convention & Visitors Bureau provides assistance for
meeting organizers of international conferences, academic
forums, trade fairs and other types of conventions.

The following services can be provided for
convention attendees of 100 and over, with
at least half of the attendees being from
outside of Shizuoka Prefecture or overseas.


Introduce Convention Facilities
Introduce suitable convention/banquet facilities according to size of convention

Introduce Convention Services
Introduce various types of businesses from SCVB's accounts (i.e. printers, travel agencies,translation services, etc.)

Introduce Gift Shops
Introduce gift shops that can be set up at the convention site for the busy conventioneer

Introduce Entertainment for
Convention Banquet
Introduce various forms of entertainment from traditionally Japanese to modern performances

Introduce Companies for
Technical Visits
Introduce factories/research institutes/companies for technical visits

Introduce Translators
Introduce SCVB's support staff translators to provide English speaking services for international conferences at the reception desk, at banquets or during pre-/post-convention activities

  • meeting is a conference
  • attendees are from not only the Tokai region but also other regions
  • preparatory period is over 6 months
  • wihtin 20% of total budget
  • maximem amount receivable :2,000,000yen

    @25YEN per name plate; transparent plastic name plates

    (Name of convention can be printed on envelope at additional charge)

    Convention Bag
    @60YEN per bag to carry convention related papers; made out of paper but is laminated and durable; an original design with Mt. Fuji artistically drawn

    Introduce Financial Aid
    Introduce financial aid if accommodations are in Shizuoka City; 500YEN per person for conventions of 100 & over (or 50 people staying for 2 nights will count as 100 people); maximum amount receivable is 1,000,000YEN
