It is said that this temple was established by the monk Gyoki of the Nara Period. The main building includes a statue of a thousand-handed “Kannon” goddess, which is a prefecturally-designated cultural asset. The Nio-Mon Gate, which was built during the Muromachi Period, is the second oldest in the prefecture and is a nationally designated important cultural asset.

The park includes a variety of playground equipment in a 31.5-meter long, 6.6-meter wide and 18-meter high gigantic wooden pirates’a fishing-bank, wading pond, lookout mountain and a path that stretches to Mochimune Fishing Port.

This hot springs is known as the place where the soldiers of Lord Imagawa rested from their wounds after battle. You can enjoy many aspects of nature year-round, such as fireflies dancing in the summer or wild boarnabe in the winter.
