Home of Clear Streams and Hot Springs

The Warashina River is a tributary of the Abe River which flows through the center of Shizuoka City. Both rivers are known for their pure water and are ranked among the clearest rivers in Japan every year. Along the river, there are also many tea fields, making this area an important source of Shizuoka tea.
